COPERBIT COLOR
Coloured water-based bituminous elastomeric liquid coating for the waterproofing of concrete structures.
Encapsulating coating for asbestos cement slabs.
Description
Description

Elastomeric waterproofing liquid membrane in water emulsion, coloured with modified acrylic co-polymers. COPERBIT COLOR reduces carbonation phenomena on concrete surfaces.
Once dry, it will form a strong and elastic film with excellent adhesion to the substrate and highly resistant to weathering agents and resilient to any fissures that may form in the substrate.
COPERBIT COLOR is odourless and non-flammable because it is free from solvents.
Available in white, grey, red, and green.

DESTINATIONS OF USE

COPERBIT COLOR is recommended to coat and waterproof concrete-structured roofs, terraces with concrete floors, bituminous surfaces, or bituminous waterproofing membranes. It waterproofs and decorates old bituminous membranes without having to remove them.
On old tarnished bituminous membranes, it is recommended to apply COPERBIT COLOR after applying COPERBIT W diluted to 10%, as a bonding coat.
Also used as a waterproofing from under the tile, COPERBIT COLOR is applied before gluing the stoneware tiles or clinker where it is not possible to lay the polymer bitumen membranes, subsequently using a cement adhesive in class C2, in accordance with EN 12004.
It is approved as a coating for encapsulation in the reclamation of cement-asbestos products in accordance with Ministerial Decree 20/08/1999 According to UNI 10686/98.
It may also be used upon fibre cement boards, wood, and metal surfaces as well as polycarbonate.

WARNINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

Carefully read the technical data sheet and the safety data sheet, available below.

  • It fears frost. Stir well before use.
  • Before painting new membranes, wait at least 6 months from their laying, except for membranes with a daring top finish or TEX that can be immediately painted. Do not apply directly to membranes with PE film and gloss film finish but remove the finish by flashing.
  • Do not store packages below +5°C and protected from heat sources, in dry places.
  • It is mandatory to follow all the laws relating to remediation through the encapsulation treatment of asbestos cement slabs.
